‘Tis the Season to be Mindful!

Hi everyone! Apologies for the delay in posting but as we all know, the past four weeks are always the busiest each year!

I thought for today’s blog post, I’d shed light on the true importance of mindfulness around Christmas and New Year, and the positive benefits we as humans can take from it.

To put it bluntly, the festive season isn’t always for everyone.

A lot of the time, the festive season can more often than not, bring stress, grief and despair. In this time, we should all be mindful.

Instead of shouting at the customer sales adviser for not processing your order, be mindful of their own personal struggles…
Instead of pushing through crowds and fighting over the last bag of sprouts, be mindful that the other person may need it more…
Instead of complaining to your local delivery service for their “appalling” time management, be mindful that it isn’t actually this workers fault…

Mindfulness isn’t just about the process of understanding your own emotions, but understanding the feelings of those around you and being considerate to other people in order to receive a wholesome peace of mind, heart, body and soul for yourself.

To conclude today’s blog post, I wish for you to ask yourself one question…

Is the stress really worth it?
